Privacy Policy

1. What Data We Collect

DocDox is designed to collect as little data as possible. We do not collect, store, or transmit the files you process using any of our tools. All PDF processing, image conversion, and text analysis happens directly in your browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly.

We do not require you to create an account, provide an email address, or log in. There is no user database associated with DocDox.

Standard web server logs may record your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit. These logs are used solely for diagnosing technical issues and are not sold or shared with third parties.

2. Your Files

When you use a DocDox tool, your files are processed entirely on your device. They are loaded into your browser's memory, processed by a JavaScript library, and the result is returned to you as a download. At no point are your files transmitted to DocDox's servers or stored anywhere outside your own device.

The only exception is the AI Summarizer tool, which sends the text you submit to the Claude API (operated by Anthropic, Inc.) for processing. This is a stateless request — the text is processed and a summary is returned; nothing is stored. See Section 4 for more on third-party services.

3. Cookies and Local Storage

DocDox does not use first-party cookies to track users. We do not use localStorage or sessionStorage to store personal information.

Google AdSense, which serves advertisements on DocDox, may set cookies to deliver relevant ads based on your browsing behaviour across the web. You can manage or opt out of personalized advertising through Google's Ad Settings at adssettings.google.com.

4. Third-Party Services

DocDox uses the following third-party services:

Google AdSense: Serves display advertisements. Google may use cookies and collect data in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy).

Vercel: Hosts the DocDox web application. Standard access logs (IP addresses, request paths, timestamps) are retained by Vercel in accordance with their privacy policy.

Anthropic (Claude API): Used by the AI Summarizer tool to process text you submit. Text is processed in a stateless request and is not retained. See Anthropic's privacy policy at anthropic.com/privacy.

Google Fonts: Font files for the PDF Editor are fetched from Google's font CDN. This request may log your IP address per Google's privacy practices.

5. Children's Privacy

DocDox is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information through our service, please contact us and we will delete it.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised. Continued use of DocDox after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

7. Contact
